Big Bend National Park Part I
One of the highlights of our stay in Terlingua was being able to visit Big Bend National Park . On our first trip into the park, we waited in line for about 45 minutes to enter the park! There were a LOT of people at the Panther Junction visitor center , too. But once you got out into the park, it wasn’t crowded at all!
We watched the park movie, picked up some souvenirs, and got some great advice from the park rangers about hikes to take during our time in the park. We went up to eat our brown bag lunch with a giant croc at the Fossil Discover Exhibit just north of the visitor center. After lunch, Kate and Lisa walked up to the lookout and braved the wind!
