Cloudcroft, NM: Mountain Town Magic at 9000 Feet
We ventured up to Cloudcroft, NM , which sits at almost 9000 ft in elevation, high in the Sacramento Mountains and Lincoln National Forest, just east of Alamogordo. This old mining town is a really neat place to visit and offers many activities including skiing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, golfing, shopping, and dining.
We walked through the town and did some shopping and art hunting, then had an awesome dinner at Cloudcroft Brewing Company . On our way back down the mountain, we stopped at a vista pull off to watch the sunset through the forest. What a great day!
