Goodbye Texas hello New Mexico!
Travel day again! We have arrived in Carlsbad, NM! Total time in Texas was 3 months + 1 week.
Carlsbad is still in the Chihuahuan Desert
, so the landscape is very similar to Terlingua, TX.
We’re staying in Brantley Lake State Park
for a week, but have to move sites during our stay. Our first site (#19) is very nice with the picnic table and the back end of site being secluded via a stone wall, but a bit challenging to get into with our 42’ rig. We navigated around the dumpster and a dormant tree to get in.
We were rewarded with a gorgeous sunset though!
