Longdraw Pizza and the Starlight Theater
We love trying local places to eat wherever we stop! While in Terlingua we ate at two local places - Longdraw Pizza and the Starlight Theater. They were both excellent!
Longdraw Pizza has a cool patio where you can sit outside and eat pizza, wings, or their special. Great atmosphere and food! We had the Alye’s CBR Pizza (Chicken Bacon Ranch), which was very good!
Starlight Theater has an amazing history and was home to the FIRST World Champion Chili Cookoff in the 1960’s. A unique menu and scene make this a central part of Terlinqua’s cultural center. You can see Steve showing off one of the outdoor bar stools at the front in one of the photos. We tried the Chicken-Fried Texas Antelope strips as an appetizer. It was our first time eating antelope, so we didn’t know what to expect. It was different, but really good!
