Awe inspiring architectural finds?

image from Awe inspiring architectural finds?

Have you had any architectural finds in your travels that have just knocked your socks off? For me (Kate), churches usually do it. I am just awestruck at the immense presence I feel when I walk into them.

A short history of Labor Day

Originally a holiday in Oregon in 1887, Labor Day was adopted by over 30 states by 1894 when it became a federal holiday. It is a day to remember those people who work to make our communities and countries better with their labor, ingenuity, and achievements for the betterment of society.

We Tour the Ford Rouge Plant

image from We Tour the Ford Rouge Plant

As part of our trip to The Henry Ford, we took a tour of the Rouge Factory. While they don’t allow any photos inside the factory itself, we thought we’d share the photos of parts of the tour we were allowed to film.

Being able to watch the assembly line of the F-150 is incredible. It is a very well oiled machine, with each person doing their part in a timely manner and documenting anything they find out of spec in real time. Our trip to The Henry Ford was multiple days

image from Our trip to The Henry Ford was multiple days

Our trip to The Henry Ford was multiple days. Highly recommend spending a few days in this area to check it out!

Coco says “Hi"

For those of you traveling with pups, what secrets do you have to keep your dogs well behaved and prevent boredom?

Our favorite one is specifically geared towards people with more than one dog. Make sure each pupper gets some one-on-one time with you. We like to sit outside with each of ours separately and walk them separately. Walks include both time to sniff and training.

We’ve finally seen crops other than corn and soybeans! In Western NY, we’ve seen lots of cabbage and apples too. Kinda neat seeing both green and purple cabbage in the same field!

Exploring the George Eastman Museum

We explored the George Eastman Museum in Rochester. If you know any of our history as a couple, you know that Steve and I met at a photography club many moons ago. The museum was split to cover both the history of photography and film and the history of George Eastman.
