St Augustine, FL is the oldest city in the United States. It was founded in 1565 by Pedro Menendez de Aviles . But even before that, Juan Ponce de Leon landed ashore here.
While visiting the Fountain of Youth exhibit and property, we got to meet Ponce and learn about his journey from Spain to “la Florida”. This is a very interesting living history museum with beautiful gardens. We also drank from the famous “Fountain of Youth”. Not sure we feel any younger, though!
As of this posting, the Fountain of Youth is a dog friendly attraction!
