Checking Out Tazewell, VA With The Towns Newest Residents
Today we met up with some friends to check out Tazewell, Virginia.
There are some lovely historic buildings in Tazewell, including 3 historic banks and a Ford dealership. Tazewell derives a lot of its tourism by being the gateway city to the Back of the Dragon , Virginia’s only dedicated motorcycle and sportscar route. This 32 mile stretch of road has 438 curves and winds through 3 mountain ranges! That’s a lot of turns! We’ve put this on our list for next time (or when we have something sportier than a F-450).
We ate dinner with our friends at Wayfarer and then walked down Tazewell’s historic main street. Check out the view!!!
Fun fact! This town is pronounced “TAZZ-well”, ignoring the e in taze….
