What type of RV spots do you like?
We’re almost always are either in a full hook up (power, water, and sewer) or partial hook up (usually power and water) spot. But every once in a while, we completely boondock! Boondocking is where you go without any external services, relying only on what your RV has onboard. While we currently only do this for a night or two, we (should) have the ability to go for about a week “off grid”.
We have found that we get to see some really beautiful places and have very peaceful nights when we’re boondocking. We use a program called Harvest Hosts where we get to enjoy some beautiful places, like this church in Michigan. The land surrounding the church had deer and geese through it at both dusk and dawn. There were even a couple cranes through in the morning before we left.
Via the Harvest Host program we’ve stayed at several museums, farms, churches, and historic sites - all were definitely places we may not have chosen to visit on our own, but were great overnight stops for us. We’ve even found some really great gifts for friends and family members along the way.
