Surviving Tombstone, AZ!
While in Tucson we took a step back in time with a day trip to Tombstone, AZ , and it was like walking straight into a Wild West movie set—only it’s all real (well, mostly 😉).
The epitome of a WILD WEST town! It was not what we expected at all. A bit hokey, but still fun. Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp were the main characters here! Several places do reenactments in the town and there are people in period dress who walk up and down the main street (which is closed to cars, so feel free to get out and explore!).
There are shops and even a couple old bars, including Crystal Palace Saloon . This place has been a saloon since opening in 1879 and still has the wood bar. It is also the only original saloon still standing today in Tombstone. The food was great too!
We definitely recommend a trip to Tombstone for a day or two along your travels.
