While in Wytheville we saw this neat little car. When we saw the owner was getting into the car, we asked them to tell us a bit about it. The owner, a well known and loved member of this community, is handicapped, and relies on motorized scooter to get them around. The owner worked with their insurance and with the town to have this recognized legally - basically paving the way for future people in the town who may have this need!
This is a Green Transporter Q Runner enclosed mobility scooter. It features a 1200W motor capable of reaching a top speed of 18.5 mph and has a driving range of about 30 miles on a single charge. It includes a fully enclosed cabin with roll-down windows and a backup camera. There is even space in the back for groceries or other personal items.
