We ventured over to South Padre Island, and stumbled upon the Holiday Sandcastle Village of South Padre Island . It was all dolled up for Christmas alongside some longer term sand art, such as the amazing Taylor Swift mermaid. If you’re in this area, we highly recommend checking out this rotating gallery of sand sculptures!

Many campgrounds and resorts have an abundance of activities for RVers who are staying for the winter! We attended the campground’s chili cook off, sampling several really good recipes. Our friend Ron over at @Rolling Bayou won 🏆 1st place! Congrats, Ron!

Our “winter” season started just before Thanksgiving. Since we wintered with our friends, @Rolling Bayou this year we went ALL OUT for Thanksgiving!

Well, we all do it a little differently. Some spend 4-6 months in their winter location - visiting doctors, fixing their RV, and planning their next travel season.

As we were leaving Rockport we added our Padre Island National Seashore sticker to our board. Do you keep track of the places you explore?

One of the most amazing things we get to see as full-time RVers is the public lands in our great nation . While in Rockport, we drove almost an hour to visit Padre Island National Seashore . It did NOT disappoint. The day we went was very windy, but the beach was clear and sunny.

While in Corpus Christi, we made a special effort to seek out this amazing piece of mural work by artist @erickarbeling . I first saw Eric’s work in Alpena, MI and instantly fell in love.

Corpus Christi has an amazing public art trail . It encompasses the whole city, but in one small area of downtown, you can see over 40 different murals. Some of these are permanent installations and some are temporary while buildings are being renovated.
