This dog loves to be outside

This dog loves to be outside. She also apparently loves to dig herself a hole to lay in to stay cool. Would you let this dirty dog back in your house?
Another week of winter and another project accomplished

Another week of winter and another project accomplished! I tackled installing a peel and stick wallpaper on the wall behind our recliners. The hardest part was lining up the pattern, but it looks pretty good! Even reinstalling the trim was not super difficult.
Steve took the opportunity to install a Microair WiFi enabled thermostat . This allows us to control the air and heat remotely. We can now also check the temperatures in the RV when we’re away, giving us peace of mind leaving our three pups (assuming both the RV and our phones have an internet source).
Winter is a time for projects

Winter is a time for projects! Kate installed a new pop up outlet that has 4 outlets, 4 USB ports (2 are type A and two are type C), and wireless charging on top. It also sits nearly flush with the countertop and blends in nicely. In order to install the new outlet the counter under the old pop up needed to be just a tad bit bigger! We used a diamond bit on an angle grinder to make the opening just slightly bigger. Steve held a shop vac so that most of the debris was vacuumed up as the grinding was happening.
Something we've never done in this RV

We’ve been full time in our Solitude 390RK for the last 2 1/2 years and this project has been on Kate’s list for a while! If you have a teak shower seat this is a quick project to make it look brand new!
With just a screwdriver, scrub brush, a hose, and a teak cleaner and oil, your shower seat can look brand new again!
These things make a loud sound!

Not an ideal start to a nights sleep with a palm bract falling on the slide you sleep in! That was LOUD! Here’s the offender… no, not Steve.
The green thing he’s holding! A palm bract is a woody type seed pod where the seed/flowers of the palm trees grow. Once the pod is fully open and flowers begin to bloom, the bract falls off the tree, creating a midnight jolt for those of us sleeping underneath. Not all palm trees produce bracts, but the Royal Palms we’re parked under definitely do!
I (Kate) got the opportunity this week to visit Epcot

I (Kate) got the opportunity this week to visit Epcot in Orlando! It’s been probaly 30 years since the last time I was on a Disney property, and maybe 35 since last visiting Epcot. I went with friends and we had a wonderful time eating our way around the world. We only rode 2 rides, but had a blast singing along to a broadway show and enjoyed ending our day with the fireworks. We even got to help paint a new mural! What a fun day!
Watch for falling Iguanas!

You may have heard about falling iguanas last week when it went to freezing over night in South Florida. Well, it’s a real thing!
Temperatures in the 30s and 40s will cause an iguana’s body processes to slow so much that they can’t hang on and will fall off of their perch. Usually as it warms back up, they will thaw out and move along like nothing happened. That was not the case for the one we found. 😞 I’m pretty sure the ~20ft drop to the ground from the tree above did him in.

Buying Publix out of your wife’s favorite fizzy water because it’s a hard to find flavor and is on B2G2 sale!
We hopped on this trend. What do you think?

The AI image generator did a pretty good job for us. Couple of things not quite right, but overall not bad!
